Hi ladies. I am about to begin ttc once again and now that I have found what it takes to get a bfp I suspect it will happen rather quick. My doctor will be doing a cerclage around 14 weeks into my next pregnancy and I will be placing myself with or without my doctors advice on strict bedrest from the start. I am not sure if this is the right area to post this question, if not feel free to move this around I will find it I will be taking prometrium just as I did with my recent loss. I stopped the prometrium at 16 weeks. I have decided to remain on it because it is harmless and though it may not help it certainly cannot hurt. I was wondering if you ladies also went this route or have any thoughts on prometrium beyond the first trimester. In addition I wanted to ask you ladies if any of your doctors placed you on indocin following your cerclage. My doctor said I will be placed on it as prevention from PTL. I did a little online research and it seems to be rather standard but I only find it mentioned when I specifically search indocin and cerclage. When I search just cerclage I do not find indocin mentioned. Any thoughts on this. Any one take it for PTL prevention. I am interested in any input, links, articles... et-cetera. Patty

I haven't had a prevetative cerclage before so I can't answer all your questions. I totally agree with taking the bedrest and prometrium. There's been some obscure links between IC and progesterone, but it's hard to find the supporting evidence.
Now, after my rescue cerclage I took Trebuteline to prevent labor. It did the trick even after my water broke.
