Hi
I have heard that you guys are aware of an important research on a link between progesterone and IC (I have PCOS and lost a baby at 20 weeks gestation.)
Could you let me know where I can find it

I am so sorry for your loss.
There is very limited information about this topic. The fact is that most of the websites available only mention "hormone factors" but do not go into great detail about this topic. The main reason that we believe that progesterone is a key factor is simply because of the high rate of IC among people with PCOS. Progesterone issues is probably the single most common pregnancy related hormone issue with PCOS. High testosterone levels are another, though I think that plays the largest role during trying to conceive when testosterone can prevent ovulation.
This is one of the reasons we created this site. We want to gather information from people who have suffered from IC so that we can promote research. So little information is available, and our OB's and Peri's might not even have the most current information available. The medical community is very divided on the proper course of action when it comes to IC. There is an even larger divide in how to properly diagnose it. It would be nice if there was uniform treatment and better testing available. It breaks my heart when I read the stories of women who sought help, only to be refused any treatment whatsoever, resulting in the birth of their babies too early to survive.

Australian IC, we don't have research...yet. Hopefully, the information we gather through our questionnaire will help get true research started.
Both my OB and my perinatologist say that every "unexplained" case of IC they've seen has been in a woman with PCOS. Other docs have to have noticed this, so I truly believe it's just a matter of time before research is done.
